Laptop Configurations For CSE Students

In this blog I am talking about best configuration for laptops.

Company Tag:

If you belief that company matters to buy any electrical thing,but it is not completely true. If you buy anything but you do not know about configuration and more things then it will create a problem for you. So I hope you may understand that there is not more role of company tag but it can vary person to person. If anyone is using a laptop of any company and he did not face any problem from last some time then he will be satisfy with that company and he will want to buy next laptop from that company tag but anyone who is using a laptop with same company and he is facing a lot of problem then he will never go with that company. I hope you will understand with these things.

Processor(CPU):

You have heard most of the processors like intel, amd ryzen and more.But intel and ryzen are the most popular processors now a days. At this time intel i9 12th generation processor is the latest processor. It is the best processor for gaming at this time. It is availabale with upto 16 cores and 24 threads. At Ryzen AMD Ryzen 9 5900X it is the latest processor. So it is depend upon you which type of processor for which type of work you need. And the price also depends on processor generation and series.

i3 processor which is slow processor among all these processor. But if you want to do normal work like ppt,coding, word and some normal thing .Do not want to do some heavy work.Then you can prefer it.

Operating System:

We have many types of Operating Systems:

  • Windows
  • Linux
  • Mac Os
  • Android Os
  • Chrome Os

So as a beginner you want to do code and learn as a beginer then you can choose Windows . So windows 11 is the latest window operating System. If you want to go with Apple then you have to choose Mac operating System but it will be coastly then Windows.Now a days Apple MacBook Air is the lowest price laptop with Mac OS.And you can go for more.If you are familier with window then you can choose linux Operating System which is command based operating System and mostly things will be done by commands.If you want to play some games and some music then you can buy chrome laptops as you second laptop.

Memory:

We have two types of memory :

  • Primary Memory
  • Secondary Memory

Primary Memory

As we heard about RAM should be 16 GB ,8 GB so what is the mean by all of this.

When we open some file at our system and if system has more space then it will be able to open more files at one time but if has limited space then it will take time to open and close files.

If we want to open 10 files with 410 MB but we have only 4 GB RAM then the last file will load then one of the file from 9 files will close.If we have 8 GB RAM then we can open 10th file also. So from this way our RAM or Primary memory works.

Secondary Memory

We can also call it internal storage.We have two types of internal storage 1.HDD 2.SSD

HDD->Hard Disk Drive it is cheaper and slower than SSD.

SSD->Solid State Drive it is faster than HDD.But it is costly.

Now if you are confuse which type of internal memory you should buy then from my side you should prefer SSD with 500 GB atleast and you can also go with 1TB HDD and 250GB SSD

Display:

So we have three types of display 14inch , 15.6 inch and 13 inch it depends on you that with whu=ich laptop you want to go.

so these are the basic terms that you should know before buying your laptop.

One more recommendation that you should go with backlit keyborad and light weight laptop.
